Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry

The Richard and Mary L. Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry is a forum at the University of Chicago for experimental collaborations between artists and scholars. Through its Mellon Collaborative Fellowship in Arts Practice and Scholarship program, the Gray Center is providing support for Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle’s Hydrant, 41°47’22.662″ N – 87°37’38.364″ W, from the series Well.

Manglano-Ovalle, exhibition curator Abigail Winograd, and Susan Gzesh, Senior Lecturer in the College, are also teaching the related course, Water Water Everywhere? (HMRT 24193, CHST 24193, ARTH 24193, SOSC 21005), in Autumn 2021 through the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights.
